We have just added another nifty bit of kit to our rental page. We now have Go Pro Hero 3's available. We are sure that you don't need much of an introduction to one of the most talked about cameras on the market. However, if you do wish to read more please go to our equipment hire section on our website.

Instant Film Printing From Your Smart Phone
L.B.M Has just acquired a nifty little piece of kit that lets you print instant films (like Polaroid) straight from your smart phone or (small) tablet. The folks at Impossible Lab, have devised this gizmo which merges analogue and digital technologies together. It can also save you a few £ if you like to produce instant films as the cost of a pack of 'instants' can be quite costly (especially if you make any mistakes). Simply choose an image from your Smart Phone, use the free editing App and away you go. L.B.M. will be using the Instant Lab for our Workshops, Lessons and Fine Art Prints.
Here is a little more info (narrated by Werner Herzog, just to make it even more surreal ! )

Light Painting PixelStick Projections. 1st Experiments
Last night we tried a few of the demo settings on the PixelStick hard drive. It takes a little bit of getting used to. You have to bracket your photo exposures for the length of time of the projected image, background, foreground and depth of field. You can also experiment with the shape and form of each image depending on how long you make your projection. It's a good start and we can't wait to upload some of our own images now and really experiment and push a few boundaries with this gizmo. Watch this (dark) space !
360 Degree Camera
LBM have just recently purchased a new 360 degree camera. The 'Theta 360' produced by Ricoh takes x 2 photographs or videos with a 180 degree perspective on each side of the camera. Once you have taken your photo or video you upload your footage into the conversion software that will allow you to combine the two viewpoints merging them into a sphere like frame. The best part of it is that you can explore any part of the image you like by swiping directions on your Smart Phone/Computer with the App or view it and control it straight to YouTube. Stay tuned to LBM's blog for updates , experiments and interesting perspectives using the 'Theta 360'.
